Equitable Spaces co-founders, Jimmieka Mills and Diane Sullivan, first met as independent consultants in 2020 at the National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference in Washington, DC, where they both shared about how they translate their lived experience into real policy solutions. Since, they have been creating more equitable spaces for other community members with lived experience in poverty and related health disparities to be part of the research, program, and policy decision-making processes that directly impact their lives.
